Ngā Tarahiti There are 11 trustees representing the uri of Waihou in this governance structure. The trustees are voted on every three years. Dates are set in our Booking Calendar. Waihou uri are encouraged to join these hui. Whina Te Whiu is our representitive on the Warawara Komiti Kaitiaki Her mahi here is crucial in supporting the implementation of the ecological plan to restore, manage and look after the Warawara for our mokopuna. Te Komiti Wāhine The Komiti Wāhine oversees the operational running of our marae and also lead our fundraising events. This group is generally made up those who live at home and are always looking for people to help out. If you're keen to join just let us know. He manawa nui ko te hā o te iwi he mahi tā tēnā, he mana tā tēnā, He mauri tuku iho, He ohu manaaki, he mahingatahi, Ka rongo te kakara te reka a muri, Nga ringa rau aroha roimata.’ Chair - Meri Hauiti Treasurer - Makere Ngaropo-Hati Bridgit Kawiti - Booking Officer Noel TeTai is our elected marae delegate. He plays an important role advocating for Waihou as a part of Te Runanga o Te Rawara governance board. Every month he is our eyes and ears at the TROTR hui after which he then reports back to the trustees. His reports are avalible for all uri of Waihou to access.
